The Stroble home is a combination
of old world craftmanship and contemporary design. Post and beam
construction, or timber framing, was utilized in the structural
design. The framing technique dates back 2000 years, and is crafted
from solid pine timbers and connected by interlocking mortise
and tennon joints fastened with oak pegs. Each finished by hand
chisel and mallet. With the exposed wood structure the home was
designed with cozy lofts and nooks opening to a floor plan with
open spacious cathedral ceilings. Panoramic views of the ski
areas framed by the solid wood members help to cap off a unique
piece of living art.
