The Colvin House is unique in the fact that
it has six levels to meander through. The reasoning for this
split-level design was to conform to the steep sloping site.
Moving with the conditions rather than trying to change them
led to this design that sits well with the surrounding elements
of nature. Contemporary design bodes well with the earth that
is quite a bit older. A sitting area in the master bedroom takes
advantage of the spectacular views available. Large heat shielding
windows also capture the view from the great room.
Add in floor radiant heat and super insulation in the walls and
you get a house that is unique and manageable.
